Kneipp works naturally. In accordance with this principle, we develop effective formulas at our Hohestadt site – always on the basis of natural ingredients and scientifically founded teachings. And we’ve been doing this for quite some time.
Starting with the foundation laid in 1891 by Sebastian Kneipp and Leonhard Oberhäußer, maintaining health has been the focus at Kneipp.

Today, we develop holistic concepts and products oriented to specific needs for our customers and users. The five pillars of Kneipp’s teachings – water, plants, exercise, nutrition and inner balance – are always the basis for the holistic consideration of cause and effect.

At Kneipp, the topic of quality is of vital importance. This means: top-quality raw plant materials as the basis of all products, comprehensive analysis methods and gentle processing using innovative production methods. Moreover, for Kneipp, quality stands for guaranteeing the highest degree of benefit, efficacy and safety of all products.
The products, which are left in as natural a state as possible, whether bath or body care products, are manufactured with the same level of care as if they were pharmaceutical products.

The extraordinarily high standard of quality of Kneipp products is the result of our company's long history. And it is based on meticulous composition of the ingredients, the scientifically proven efficacy of the formulas and naturopathic and pharmaceutical experience and knowledge handed down for generations.

Animal testing is of course not performed or contracted by Kneipp.

Research and development – our mission

Sebastian Kneipp wanted his successful cures to be scientifically founded.

To this day, it has been essential for Kneipp to discover active principles and create scientific foundations. We are committed to Sebastian Kneipp’s aspiration. For this reason, product development at Kneipp is accompanied by intensive research and development. (The Kneipp facial care series “Regeneration through the power of nature” for skin 40 and over relies on a new active principle for which Kneipp has applied for a patent.) In addition, new products are tested for their efficacy in independent scientific studies.

In its 125-year company history, Kneipp GmbH has always rejected animal testing for body care products. Instead, the efficacy and tolerance of body care products are tested exclusively on volunteer test subjects.

Our origins, which are substantially shaped by Sebastian Kneipp and his holistic philosophy, make us distinctive.
