Feeling Good – Despite Very Dry Skin

Consistent and in particular appropriate skin care can have a very positive effect on the discomfort caused by very dry skin. Kneipp has specially designed a comprehensive product line on the basis of the evening primrose.

The evening primrose oil extracted from the seeds contains a very high level of valuable γ-linoleic acid, which provides especially copious supply to very dry skin.

The products of this care series improve the complexion, increase the moisture content of the skin, and support its natural barrier function. Efficacy and tolerability have been tested and confirmed by dermatologists.

  • Shea Butter

    Shea Butter

Shea butter is made from the crushed seeds of the shea tree or vitellaria (Butyrospermum parkii) by pressing. The kernels have a fat content of up to 50 percent. The special thing about shea butter is its high content of unsaponifiable matter. It makes the skin supple and is highly moisturizing.

  • Almond Oil

    Almond Oil

Almond oil is produced by pressing from the ripe seeds of the almond tree, and due to its high content of oleic acid it has been reckoned among the most valuable vegetable oils since antiquity. Almond oil supports the moisture balance of the skin. It is absorbed quickly and well tolerated even by sensitive skin and baby skin.

  • Jojoba Oil

    Jojoba Oil

The evergreen jojoba shrub grows in extremely dry regions and can grow to up to 4 meters in height. Its seeds (nuts) contain high-quality wax that is liquid at room temperature (and mistakenly called oil). It is rich in unsaturated fatty acids. Jojoba protects the skin from drying out, without leaving a greasy film.

  • Peanut Oil

    Peanut Oil

The vegetable oil pressed from the skinned peanut kernels is rich in linoleic acid and oleic acid. It is highly moisturizing and absorbed very easily and quickly.

  • Sunflower Oil

    Sunflower Oil

Sunflower oil is extracted from sunflower seeds and is rich in unsaturated fats (e.g. linoleic acid). It makes for a nice, smooth feel on the skin.

  • Avocado

The pear-like fruit weighing up to 1.5 kg does not ripen on the tree, but only after picking. The avocado fruit has an oil content of 40–80 percent and is rich in unsaturated fatty acids. The oil is very long-lasting and leaves a wonderfully velvety feeling.

  • Urea

Urea is a component of natural moisturizing factors present in the human skin. It increases the water content in the upper layers of the skin, moisturizes and retains moisture. Moreover, urea stabilizes the skin barrier.
